We had a great turn-out for our campus-wide open house event, Skidaway Marine Science Day. We estimate we had 3,000 visitors. Incredible! That’s nearly twice the estimate of last year’s crowd.

The grand reopening of the UGA aquarium was a big draw. Over at Skidaway Institute, the tours of the RV Savannah were big, as were “Plankton World ” and a model of our offshore sensing systems built around large Navy towers.
