Evening @ Skidaway explores the wonder of water

UGA Skidaway Institute of Oceanography researcher Jay Brandes will explore what at we know and what we don’t know about this deceptively simple, essential molecule in an Evening @ Skidaway program titled “Water – The Most Complicated Simple Substance” on Thursday, Oct. 10, in the McGowan Library on the University of Georgia Skidaway Marine Science Campus (10 Ocean Science Circle, Savannah, GA 31411).

You need it to survive. It makes up the majority of your body. It covers the majority of the surface of this planet. Yet, for such a simple molecule, water is surprisingly complex, and scientists are learning new things about water every year, from its most basic behavior to where it can be found in distant solar systems.
