2022 Shrimp Black Gill Stakeholders Cruise - Skidaway Institute of Oceanography

UGA Skidaway Institute scientist Marc Frischer hosted the 2022 shrimp black gill stakeholders cruise on board the RV Savannah on Thursday, Dec. 15. In addition to collecting shrimp for research, the cruise was an opportunity for different stakeholders in the shrimping community to come together and exchange ideas. The group included shrimpers, managers, researchers and news reporters.

One unexpected visitor came aboard. This green sea turtle was returned to the water unharmed.
