We had a great open house!

We had beautiful weather and a great turnout for our open house, Skidaway Marine Science Day, last Saturday. If you did not attend, here are some pictures to whet your appetite for next year.

A man wearing a tan uniform holds a large, patterned snake outdoors on a sunny day, with three people standing in the background and trees and buildings visible.

A smiling woman holds a large turtle shell and talks to a young girl at an outdoor educational booth, with other people and science displays visible in the background.

A woman interacts with a group of children and adults around a table outdoors, showing them a display in a glass tank. People are engaged and participating in a hands-on activity under the trees.

A group of people stand and sit on the deck of a large blue research vessel docked at a pier, with a gangway leading from the dock to the ship under a clear blue sky.

A woman and two young girls explore a ship’s control room, with the woman pointing at equipment. Three men stand in the background, watching. The scene appears educational and interactive.

A group of children and adults watch a small underwater robot or remotely operated vehicle (ROV) in a shallow, empty pool, with some standing along the pool’s edge and others in the background.
